Having recently visited the Chapman campus I can report that plans are well under way for our summer conference and the location, accomodations and local area are a wonderful place to spend a few days.  Those of you with families might like to consider staying on a bit after the conference as there’s lots for youngsters in the area - not just Disney!

There is still time to submit session proposals and I encourage everyone to so do as the more choice we receive, the more choice you will have when choosing which sessions to go to.  See a previous post for the session proposal form.

One thing that you should be aware of though is our Friday night Awards Dinner.  This will be held on the Queen Mary, with pre-dinner drinks on the bow section and our main meal in the Grand Salon - it’s a wonderful location and I want to emphasise our Internationalism at this event.

To that end I would like you all to consider a challenge -

I want everyone attending the dinner to come in National Dress!  For those of us living overseas we should come in the National Dress of our host country, or a previous host country, or even a future host country.  For those of us who travel overseas recruiting international students, we can choose the National Dress of a country where you recruit or the National Dress of one of the larger demographics at your institution.  There, of course, is no obligation, but imagine the scene of us all in National Dress in the Grand Salon of the Queen Mary!
