Assistant Director of International Admissions

The Assistant Director of International Admissions (“ADIA”) performs a wide variety of admissions and recruitment duties in support of the Enrollment Management’s strategic plan designed to identify and recruit qualified International students, including student recruitment and admissions responsibilities.  Responsibilities include attracting International students by advertising prospective International students and advisors throughout the admission process; collaborating and assisting with Undergraduate freshman and transfer recruitment and admission efforts; assisting with the creation and revision of RWU International publications, including updating departmental web pages is an essential component of communication to prospective students; travel both domestically and internationally; reviewing International applications in accordance with University standards, including reviewing applicants RWU International Scholarship eligibility; co-coordinate the evaluation of International credits during the admissions process; developing and maintain ongoing relationships with admitted students, advising on such matters as degree requirements, academic and extracurricular University life, admissions standards, University culture, and the logistics of visiting and/or living on or off campus; assisting with the spring admission campaign for all new enrollment cohorts and serves as a primary liaison for admissions visitors during fall recruitment season; maintaining day, evening, and weekend office hours to maximize personal communication with students, parents, and counselors; increasing the visibility of the University with external customers to keep target schools and school counselors informed of recruitment and outreach efforts.

Candidates with a bachelor’s degree, a minimum of two years of progressive admission experience and/or other student-centered higher education experience and previous International recruitment and/or travel are encouraged to apply.  Valid driver’s license and valid passport required, as is the ability to travel both internationally and domestically.  Master’s degree preferred.  Proficiency in a second language is desirable.
