Orange is a small city with a bustling downtown area just 2 blocks from the university. Filled with delightful restaurants, the downtown area is known as the “antiquing” center of the Los Angeles area so be sure to explore some of the intriguing shops offering all sorts of “old things and collectibles.”
Next door to Orange is Anaheim, home of Disneyland since 1955. Anaheim is the 6th most visited spot in the United States and welcomed more than 14.9 million visitors in 2007. Disneyland is one of the first theme parks and boasts world famous rides such as the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Pirates of the Caribbean. Anaheim also is home to Angel Stadium, home of the Anaheim Angels major league baseball team, and the Honda Center, home of the Mighty Ducks National Hockey League team.
